2008 Graduate Trainee Program aims to Better the Best
This years’ intake was one of the best in terms of the quantity and quality of trainees and marketing. Next year we will consider limiting the intake, with an even greater focus on the quality of trainees and the ability of agencies to offer a high standard of professional training. MORE
The program has been running for over 20 years and attracts high-achieving, creative-minded graduates interested in a career in advertising. Former high profile trainees include AFA Chairman and past Chairman Belinda Rowe and Matthew Melhuish, and others like George Patterson Y&R chief, Matt McGrath.
The AFA website will be updated and details posted in later this month. Pre-publicity and marketing to universities will commence in August with commitment by agencies confirmed and Sydney are w/c October 22 with selection days w/c November 19, so positions can be confirmed well before the Christmas break. Once again there will be an intensive 5-day AdSchool Foundation course provided for successful applicants.
For this coming intake, only AFA-Accredited agencies will be eligible to participate and we will need to be satisfied that the agency should have a commitment to professional training and be of sufficient size to rotate the trainee through different disciplines.
Agencies wishing to register now to be part of the AFA Trainee program should contact Gawen Rudder now.
